We continues to share Lessons Learned and how they shaped BIANA:
At a point in my career, shares Iana, I worked with a London-based company Craft of Communication to improve my communications skills (https://craftofcommunication.com). All their coaches were theatre trained and taught very easy to implement tools, which immediately changed the way you came across and interacted with others. My favorite one was the “walking in a room” exercise:
First they asked us to walk around a room as if we want to see everyone and everything without being seen ourselves – we were walking close to the walls, hunched over, sneaking peaks;
Then they asked us to walk around as if we wanted to be seen without wanting to see or acknowledge anyone around us – this brought immediate arrogance to our postures and high gazes;
Lastly we had to walk around as if we wanted to see and be seen and what a difference that made: we held our heads high, but we were also smiling and nodding at each-other – we saw instant connectivity amongst the group and a relatively high level of confidence projected by everyone!
In BIANA we believe that women deserve to have a stronger voice in society. As we develop clothes, which can be worn at work, we are focused on making them of top quality and comfort, of great detail and with strong colors so that they draw attention, command respect, yet convey the feeling of ease and comfort – the go to outfits in which to see and be seen!
